Commission Urges Andrews to Change Mind on Sri Lankan Refugees

The Brisbane Catholic Justice and Peace commission have released a statement calling on Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews to allow the 72 Sri Lanka refugees in Nauru who have been recognized as refugees by the United Nations, to come to Australia The statement was issued on Monday September 17 to coincide with the release of the Social Justice Statement of the Australian Catholic Bishops, “Who is My Neighbour? Australia’s Role as a Global Citizen.
