Below is a report from Narelle, the ‘Picnic Co-ordinator’, of the huge picnic held at Mooloolaba on April 25th.

” What a wonderful day we (buddies) and our refugee friends from Brisbane and Kilcoy had on the Big Day Out on Anzac Day. There were well in excess of 200 people, it was all a buzz and a breeze, made so by the many wonderful Buddies who contributed so much in so many ways. The bountiful and beautiful food was enjoyed and appreciated by us all. Many thanks to everyone.

How about the weather? With what it has been like lately, there was a strong possibility that, for the first BDO ever, we could have been going to the wet weather venue that was the backup. However, as we all know the weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold and definitely NOT WET. I believe that we certainly have someone or something watching over us, we are certainly blessed.
